Privacy

What we collect, and what we do not.

The legal version. A plain-language walkthrough lives at /parents/privacy; the COPPA-specific posture lives at /coppa.

In short

The parent is the account holder; kids have no email and no third-party login. We collect what we need to run the studio, sync projects, and gate publishing. Card details go to Stripe; we never see them. We don’t sell, license, or rent family data. PINs are hashed in the browser. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Parent accounts.

Tell and Show uses a parent email for sign-in, purchase lookup, household ownership, support, and publishing approval. We may also store session records and security metadata needed to keep the account working.

Kid profiles.

Kid profiles are lightweight. They can include a display name, age band, profile color or avatar choice, project assignments, and progress inside the household. Kids do not need child email accounts in the first web version.

Projects.

Hosted builders save project files, wizard drafts, undo history, style choices, slugs, live URLs, approval records, and deploy history. Published projects are public at Tell and Show subdomains until a parent removes them or asks us to remove them.

AI help.

When a kid uses managed Tell and Show AI, project context and prompts may be sent to our configured AI provider only to produce the requested help. Hosted builders use server-managed AI credentials; kids do not need to paste provider keys into the browser.

Payments and scheduling.

Card details go directly to Stripe. We do not see or store card numbers. If you book a call, Cal.com collects scheduling details and shares the booking information with us.

How we use information.

  • Run parent accounts, kid profiles, projects, publishing, and support.
  • Connect purchases and entitlements to the parent household.
  • Send transactional emails such as sign-in, purchase, approval, support, or cohort messages.
  • Maintain tax, accounting, security, and abuse-prevention records.

We do not sell or rent family data. We do not run ad pixels on this site.

Service providers.

We use providers such as Vercel, Cloudflare R2 and Workers, Upstash/Redis-compatible storage, Resend, Stripe, Cal.com, and managed AI providers. These providers process data for Tell and Show; we do not sell data to them.

Retention and deletion.

Purchase and accounting records are kept as needed for tax and legal reasons. Cloud projects and live published projects stay available while the household account is active, unless a parent asks us to delete them sooner. You can ask us to see, correct, or delete data we hold about you, subject to legal and tax retention needs.
